9 Ways to Manifest Self Love and Confidence
Manifesting self love and confidence isn’t something that happens overnight. It is an endless journey where you’ll continue to grow and thrive over time. That’s not to say you won’t have bad days where you just feel off. It happens to a lot of people.
Myself included. Even as I sit here typing this post, I’m experiencing self-doubt.
But you’re not here to listen to me tell you my story. Or are you?
You’re here to read about the tips that have helped me on my self love and confidence journey.
So, let’s get to it.
How to Manifest Self and Confidence
Here are 9 ways to help you manifest self Love and confidence.
1. Set the Intention
The very first thing you want to do is set the intention. By setting the intention, you are making it very clear to yourself and the universe – or your chosen higher power – that this is not only what you desire, but also what you deserve.
But how do I set an intention?
Well, you’ve already done the first step by deciding that you want more self-love and confidence in your life. The next step is to put this intention out into the universe.
You can state your intention out loud. Or write it down on paper – which is my preferred method. If you’ve read my post on writing a manifestation list, then you know the importance of putting pen to paper.
Now that you’ve set the intention and shared it with the universe, let’s look at some other actions you can take on this self-improvement journey.

2. Set Up a Self Love Altar
Have you heard of a self love altar? A self love altar is a sacred space created by you to honor and love yourself daily.
And setting one up is simple.
All you need is a personal space or area that’s solely yours and a few items that represent self-love.
Here are some things you can include on your altar:
- A picture of yourself that you love
- Your favorite bottle of perfume or body spray
- Love letters you’ve written to yourself
Here’s everything you need to know about setting up your own altar from start to finish.
3. Do a 30-day Self Love Challenge
What’s a better way to manifest an abundance of self love than a self love challenge?
Self love challenges contain a range of activities to help you grow and love yourself more.
These activities include things like journaling, positive affirmations, self-care, and reflection.
But why 30 days?
Well, self love doesn’t just happen overnight. It takes time. And 30 days give you enough time to really hone in and indulge yourself in these activities.
So, here’s my amazing 30-day self-love challenge that focuses on the inner self, having fun, and taking the time to reflect and grow.
4. Script It Out
Ahh. Scripting.
Scripting is when you write something out exactly as you desire, but as if it already exists.
Think about how it feels to be confident and love yourself. What do you do every day? What kind of activities do you participate in that make you feel loved and confident? What do your mornings look like?
Write it down in as much detail as you can and pay attention to the words you use.
Use powerful present-tense words: I have, I enjoy, and I love. Avoid future-tense words or words of defeat such as I want, I never, I need.
5. Recite Self Love Affirmations
Speak your self love into existence.
Recite affirmations (or write them down) that make you feel loved and confident. With a quick search of the internet, you can get a ton of ideas for self love affirmations. Find ones that truly resonate with you. Or create your own.
Do you remember earlier when I said I was feeling some self-doubt when I started writing this post? Well here are the affirmations I recited to myself to push me through:
- I believe in myself.
- I provide value.
- My words matter.
And these are powerful affirmations for me because I actually believe them.
6. Stop Comparing Yourself
Don’t let external factors like society and social media dictate how you are supposed to look, what kind of car you should drive, what kind of house you should live in, how much money you should make, or the way you should be living.
Stop comparing yourself. That doesn’t mean you won’t find others as motivation to do something in your own life.
But don’t let what you perceive yourself to be lacking lower your self esteem.
Focus on improving yourself because it’s what you desire. And be the best you can be based on your standards. Be secure in yourself.
7. Protect Your Peace
Protect your peace.
The first step in protecting your peace is finding out what disturbs it. For me personally, these are things that lead to anxiety, stress, negative thoughts, or send my mind into overdrive.
This includes ( but is definitely not limited to)
- seeing hateful comments on social media
- Horrific stories in the news
- negative/rude people
After you’ve identified what disturbs your peace, find a way to reduce those things in your everyday life.
I limit communication with people who are negative and rude. I also limit my time on social media and am very mindful of the news I consume.
My peace is non-negotiable.
8. Forgive Yourself for Past Mistakes
Release your past, and forgive yourself for the mistakes you’ve made. Holding on to your mistakes prevents you from allowing yourself to feel that self-love you desire.
Acknowledge your mistakes and understand that you were wrong. Make amends if you can.
And then let it go. Just because you messed up doesn’t mean you aren’t worthy of happiness, self-love, and confidence.
Remember, you are human. And we all make mistakes.
9. Practice Gratitude
And lastly, be thankful for what you have. Be thankful for the big and little things. By practicing gratitude, you’re maintaining the positive energy and mindset needed to boost your self confidence and self love.
You’ve made the decision to actively work on yourself. That’s the easy part. The tough part is actually following through even when you doubt yourself.
But keep pushing. I believe in you!
