A 30-Day Self-Love Challenge: Love Yourself Everyday
Do you ever find yourself looking in the mirror and hating what you see? How often do you find yourself complaining about your body, your lack of confidence, or other people’s opinions?
We all have our own insecurities and self-criticisms. But what about loving ourselves just the way we are right now?
Easier said than done, right? Self-love can be challenging. It takes time and effort to make sure we are putting ourselves first.
So starting today, I’m going to challenge you to a 30-day self-love challenge where you will do one thing every day to shower yourself with love. It’s time to get comfortable with who you are and be the best version of yourself that you can be!
The 30 Day Love Yourself Challenge
Days 1-10: Focus on Your Inner Self
Focusing on your inner self is about getting comfortable in your own skin. So participating in things that build your confidence and self-esteem will help you love yourself more.
Here’s how to focus on your inner self:
Day 1: Define Your Safe Space
Define your safe space. A safe space is a location that makes you feel completely yourself without any reservations.
If you don’t have a safe space, create one.
My tips for creating a safe space:
- It should be 100% representative of you. Decorate it with your favorite pictures and furniture.
- Being in this space should make you feel free.
- You should be able to visit your safe space at least a couple days a week.
So choose a room in your house, or even a closet, and make it all yours!
Day 2: Love What You’ve Got
Be grateful for the body that carries your heart and mind around. Learn to give it praise, and say nice things about your physical self. Don’t waste your time criticizing how fat/thin/flabby/skinny/wrinkled etcetera. Focus on the positive.
Day 3: Shower Yourself With Compliments
It’s all about speaking positivity into yourself. Compliment yourself. Look in the mirror and compliment your beauty, intelligence, kindness, or whatever makes you unique. Starting your day with a pep talk about how funny and smart you are will make you feel more confident throughout the day.
Day 4: Cater to You
Nothing says “I’m worth it” more than spending time with yourself, but you don’t have to take my word for it. Try it out for yourself – set aside a little bit of your day and do something just for you!
Treat yourself by taking some me-time every now and then–take the opportunity to relax in a bubble bath or have an affordable spa day at home. You deserve this pampering after all the hard work you do. So go ahead make today about YOU.
Day 5: Be Gentle
Treat yourself as you would the most fragile thing in your life. Be careful not to make any sudden moves, keep it light and be kind with yourself today! Remember that we are all human beings deserving of love so take time to really care for your needs.
Day 6: Respect Your Boundaries
Say NO. And mean it. No explanation needed. I know this is hard for so many people. Push your fears aside and allow yourself to say NO to anything that does not bring you comfort or peace today.
Day 7: Nurture Your Soul
Today is about feeding your soul. It’s about engaging in activities that make you feel whole and really connected to yourself. Take care of yourself by doing something that rejuvenates you and makes you feel good on the inside. – go for an evening walk in nature, meditate, or practice yoga. If your body and soul are happy, you will be too!
I like to feed my soul through my spiritual practices.
Day 8: Make an Improvement List
Just because we love who we are doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be the best version of ourselves. So write down a list of things you want to improve about yourself or in your life. A lot can happen when we start from the inside and work our way outward.
Day 9: Be A Goal-Setter
Set goals. Take that improvement list from yesterday and turn it into actionable goals.
Day 10: Release and Let Go
Use today to re-evaluate your emotions and the people in your life. It’s time to get rid of those toxic relationships. You know – the ones where people make everything about them and continuously suck the life out of everything.

Days 11-20: Be of Service and Have Fun
Being of service helps you build character through your interactions with others. Focusing on fun activities will help you boost your spirits.
Here’s how to be of service and have fun:
Day 11: Be of Service
Help others. Spend time with children, visit someone in need or volunteer your time to a charity.
Day 12: Share the Love
You’ll feel better about yourself if you’re making others feel great too. Try genuinely complimenting someone else’s hair or clothing. It will give you a sense of fulfillment knowing that you’ve made someone smile today.
Day 13: Be Kind
Be kinder than necessary – be nice to those around you even if they don’t deserve it! Empathize and listen more today.
Day 14: Dance The Day Away
You know that playlist you listen to that instantly boosts your mood? Turn it on and turn it up! Loud. And dance like you’re auditioning for a spot in your favorite music video. Let the music move you. Dance away all of that pent-up stress.
Day 15: Laugh Out Loud
Laugh. Out loud. It’s good for the soul. Throw on your favorite movie or think about something that has made you chuckle recently.
Day 16: Get Lost in a Book
Reading is one of life’s little pleasures that needn’t be ignored. Pick up your favorite book and forget about the world for a moment. Get lost in the book like you’ve never read it before.
Day 17: Solo Date Night at Home
I’m a homebody and believe me when I say nothing is better than a date night at home. So get dressed up, do your hair, and have a nice dinner all in the comfort of your own home.
Day 18: Start a New Hobby
Pick up a new hobby. Try crocheting, making jewelry, or even making clothes.
Day 19: Get a New Look
Look different today, and make an effort to look your best every day. Step out of your comfort zone. Wear something you wouldn’t normally wear. Go for a bold makeup look. Change up your usual hairstyle.
Day 20: Have a Self-love Party
Invite your closest friends over for a day (or night) of self-love. Decorate your house with positive affirmations. Get a cake that says Self-love is the best love. Share stories and watch movies with strong female leads!
Days 21-30: Reflect and Grow
Self-love is also about reflection and growth. So starting today, you’re going to reflect on the past couple of days. Think about how you felt and what you’ve learned. This is also finding ways to grow and improve yourself to better.
Here’s how to reflect and grow:
Day 21: Open Your Journal
Journal today. Write down your thoughts, dreams, and fears. Write down how you’ve felt over the last couple of days. You can even take it a step further by answering some journal prompts that’ll lead you down a deeper road to self-discovery.
Day 22: Accept Yourself
You’re perfect just the way you are. What you can’t change, have fun with. We all have flaws and something we don’t like about ourselves. Love yourself from within. Don’t try so hard to change the things that make you YOU.
Day 23: Clean Up Social Media
Today you’re going to clean up your social media. So let’s start deleting, blocking, and unfollowing anything on social media that does not bring you peace. I don’t think we realize how much social media impacts our lives. But since this part of the challenge is about self-reflection and growth, be honest with yourself about how the things on social media make you feel.
Day 24: Practice Solitude
Today will be a day of solitude. No involvement from the outside world. Log out of social media. Silence your phone. Turn off the Tv. Use this alone time for deeper self-reflection.
Day 25: Be Thankful
Practice gratitude. Acknowledge the people around you who make life worth living. Give thanks for the things you are grateful to have in your life.
Day 26: Forgiveness
Forgive yourself for making mistakes. Acknowledge any wrong you’ve done.
Forgive those who’ve hurt you.
Day 27: Improve Your Circumstances
Part of loving yourself is about improving your circumstances. Identify what you need to do to improve your current situation. Do you need additional income? Do you need to eat healthier and exercise?
Day 28: Show Up as Your Best Self
You owe it to yourself to show up as your best self. Not just today, but every day.
Day 29: Strengthen Your Mind
Never underestimate the power of your mind. It’s your greatest asset. Today should be about challenging your mind and learning new things. Make it fun!
Day 30: Breathe
Take a deep breath. Relax. Just be.
