How To Start A Manifestation Journal: From Paper to Reality
Do you feel like you’ve tried everything under the sun to create change in your life but nothing seems to be working? Maybe it’s time for a new approach.
I’m going to show you how to start a manifestation journal to help you attract what you want in life.
Manifestation Journal Explained and Its Benefits
A manifestation journal is a mystical tool infused with your energy and intention that utilizes the law of attraction to not only create the life you desire but also the life you deserve.
And besides the obvious benefit of living a dream life designed by you, here are some other benefits of this particular journaling practice:
Benefit #1: Achieving Your Goals Becomes Simpler
It doesn’t matter if you have short-term or long-term goals, manifestation journaling can be the strategy to help you finally make your goals a reality. The action of writing your goals down using pen and paper is already setting your wanted outcome in motion.
Lately, I’ve slacked off on keeping a manifestation journal (I’m still manifesting though), but when I was actively using one it gave me a sense of purpose that increased my productivity and made me want to get more done.
Benefit #2: Your Positive Thoughts Increase
When you wake up every day knowing that everything you desire is being constructed in your favor, it’s hard to not develop a positive mindset.
As you journal and focus on turning your dreams into reality, your positive energy grows.
PSA: There will be times during your manifestation journey that you feel negative, down, or that your manifestation may not come true. This is 100% normal. It is unrealistic to believe that you will be or feel positive all of the time. But the key is to not get STUCK in a negative mind space.
Step-by-Step Manifestation Journaling Guide for Beginners
Step 1: Choose the Right Journal
The first step in starting a manifestation journal is to pick a journal that speaks to you.
After all, this journal is helping you create the life you desire.
Your manifestation journal is going to be exclusive to your manifestations. So don’t use it for your to-do lists and random writings. You don’t need those things to interfere with your manifestations.
List of Journal Ideas
You have many options to choose from for your journal. But you’ll want to consider how you plan to use it. Will you use glue or markers? If so, you’d probably go with a journal that has pages that won’t bleed through.
- Simple notebook
- Bullet Journal
- A sketchbook
- One with inspirational quotes
- A binder that you DIY with sheet protectors
When choosing a manifestation journal, I like one that’s durable and that I have creative reign over. So I’m most likely going with a sketchbook – that way I can decorate it myself with my box of arts and crafts.
Step 2: Know Your Intention and Be Specific
Know what you want to manifest. Before you start journaling, take a few moments to think about what you want. Be as specific as possible. Try to tap into the five senses. What does it feel like? What does it smell like? What will your life look like when this situation manifests?
But what happens if you struggle with visualization? I too struggle with visualization (unless I’m reading a good, descriptive book). I wouldn’t worry about this too much. You can still manifest without visualizing. Maybe do a vision board or just focus on some of the manifestation techniques posted in the following section.
Specificity is a lesson I had to learn the hard way. I remember the time I manifested a new car. My car kept randomly blowing a fuse and I would need to change it out to get the car going. So I remember sitting on the edge of my bed and repeatedly writing “I have a new car”. And that’s all I wrote. Well, I got a new car right after my old car was wrecked. And the new car has given me nothing but trouble! What I should have written was: “I have a safe new car that runs well and is reliable.
Step 3: Explore Different Manifestation Techniques
There is more than one way to manifest. Try different techniques in your journal to figure out which manifestation method works best for you. Here are some ideas:
- Scripting: A technique that involves writing out your manifestation in the form of a story as if it has already happened.
- Manifestation List: A technique that involves you simply writing out all of your goals, desires, and dreams.
- Multiplication Method: This method involves writing a manifestation down a certain number of times for a certain amount of days. For example, there is a 33 x 3 method where you write your manifestation down 33 times for 3 days.
Personally, I haven’t tried the multiplication method – it kind of reminds me of when we had to write lines in school. And that was no fun. But if I decide to try it out I’ll write a post on it.
Step 4: Create and Follow a Manifestation Process
Before you sit to write down manifestations, come up with a routine to get you in the zone. Here is a simple process you can follow.
Choose Your Magical Location
Choose where you will do your journaling. The location matters.
I like to choose a place that’s clean, quiet, and where I will be alone.
Collect Your Tools
Grab everything you need to make your journaling process go smoothly. The basic tools are your journal, a pen, your intention, and some confidence.
If you are doing a manifestation journal where you’ll be gluing in pictures and using markers, glitter, stencils, or whatever your heart desires, make sure you have all these things around for easy access.
Create a Manifestation Vibe
Light some candles and turn on some music. You want to feel peaceful and stress-free as you sit down to write.
Write it Out In the Present Tense
With your manifestations in mind, it’s time to write it out.
But remember to write in the present tense. Use words such as: I have, I am, I am grateful for, I love…etc.
Step 5: Release Your Limiting Beliefs
Release any self-doubt. There is no room for doubting yourself when it comes to creating your reality. Believe in yourself. And if you don’t believe in what you’re manifesting, I would recommend not writing it in your journal. You should wait until you’re feeling more confident.
Additional Strategies to Help With Your Manifestations
Remember to Feel the Gratitude
I don’t believe in manifesting new things into your life without being grateful for what you already have.
Take a few moments each day to recall everything that you feel grateful for in your life.
Focus on Your Dream Life and the Future You Want
Focus on writing down things you want to bring into your life. Don’t write down the things you don’t want.
Identify Potential Obstacles through Self-Reflection
You may run into some issues. Things don’t always go as planned. This requires you to have a level of self-awareness. and to So think ahead where you can and develop a plan to demolish obstacles when they arise.
Recognize Signs from the Universe
Pay attention to the signs. You will need to come up with a way to identify if the things you have been manifesting are actually working. Has the universe granted your request? If you’ve been manifesting wealth, maybe you’ve been offered a promotion or found a new career. Or maybe your mind has been filled with some creative ideas to start your own business.
Prepare for Your Desired Reality
Understand how manifesting will change your life. Once the things you manifest have come to fruition, do you know how it will impact your life? What changes have you made within yourself and your environment that align with your manifestation?
