Have you ever wondered what you should manifest to improve your life?
As someone who discovered manifestation a couple of years ago, it has played an important role in helping me achieve my goals and tackle challenges. I’ve been on a journey of transformation and growth (still am), and I’d like to share the things I’ve found to be important in manifesting a better life for yourself.
9 Things to Manifest for a Better Life
1. Knowledge
Whomever said knowledge is power, told no lies. It is a tool you want to have to navigate life more effectively. Not only does it help to sharpen your mind and improve your critical thinking skills, but it also helps you to make better decisions that align with your authentic self – which you definitely want to do if you’re trying to improve your life.
And when I say knowledge, I’m not talking about being booksmart or what they teach you in school. I’m talking about the knowledge that comes from learning about yourself and things that you find interesting.
I love learning new things. Whether it’s something about history or some strange, random fact. Lately, I’ve been on an obsessive Kindle reading spree (I refuse to admit how many new books I download each week). I’ve been reading everything I can get my hands on about Egypt, productivity, spirituality, and personal growth.
Why is Knowledge #1: To know what you really want out of life, you must be well-informed about who you are at your core and know your truest desires.
2. Peace of Mind
Are you a ball of stress? Do you take everything personally? Learn to manifest your peace of mind by learning not only how to respond to things, but also by actively choosing what you respond to – not everything deserves your attention.
Being at peace with yourself and having peace of mind is priceless.
And the #1 way to do that is by protecting your energy. Once you learn techniques to reduce stress and your people-pleasing tendencies, you can start prioritizing what’s most important. This sets you on the path to feeling more serene while ignoring the external chaos.
Honestly, peace of mind was something that I did not have for a very long time. But my desire for inner peace is what prompted me to start my spiritual journey back in 2019. It is truly the BEST thing I’ve done for myself. Things that would normally ruin my entire day don’t take up more than a minute of my time now.
Why is peace of mind #2? Your mental health and overall well-being matter when trying to create something better for yourself. And it’s hard to focus on doing that when you can’t think straight because you’re suffering from inner turmoil.
3. Self Love and Confidence
Knowing your worth in this world will get you far.
When you have a solid sense of identity, you’re unstoppable. You’re less likely to put up with mistreatment from other people and are focused on doing what makes you happy. You’re going after what you want in life, all your decisions are your own, and you’re not living life by society’s expectations.
If you struggle with confidence and feelings of self-love, I wrote this post on manifesting self-love and confidence with some ideas you can start trying immediately.
During my high school years, I struggled a lot with my self-confidence. I was an introvert, and for some reason having that personality trait seemed to make me a target 🙃. People bothered by my quietness assumed that I was stuck up and that I thought that I was better than everyone else.
Thinking about my introversion now – my deep thoughts and quiet energy – I consider it to be one of my strengths.
Why is self-love and confidence #3? The way we view ourselves and our worth will dictate how we navigate the world. If we’re on a journey of manifesting a better life, we need this to serve as armor as we make decisions and take risks to live as our authentic selves.
4. New Opportunities and Experiences
Connections make things happen. Whether that is connecting with yourself through new experiences or connecting with others through new opportunities. Seeking out these experiences may push you out of your comfort zone, but the payoff includes boosted creativity, an improved skillset, and personal growth lessons.
If you struggle with taking risks or stepping out of your comfort zone, focus on doing one new thing at a time. It can be overwhelming trying to do so many new things in a short amount of time. So think about ONE thing that you really want to do and know that you should do, and just do it.
I did.
I started this blog to create new opportunities for myself. And in doing so, I got to experience what it’s like to put myself out there. It was kind of scary, you know? Allowing the world to read what I wrote and to wonder if it was good enough or if my words were connecting with my readers.
Why are new opportunities and experiences #4? You’ve built a solid foundation of knowledge and self-love, so now you’re ready to embrace new challenges and experiences without sacrificing your self-worth and your authenticity.
5. Financial Stability
Financial stability isn’t about buying a house with 15 bedrooms or 10 sports cars. It’s about having enough money to pay your bills, doing what you want to do (not what society says you should do), and taking care of emergencies without the constant worry or stress of how you will afford things.
It provides security, freedom, and a better quality of life.
Since I know how important this topic is for many (and because I’m not a financial expert), here are two recent books I’ve read on manifesting that I’ve found helpful.
My thoughts on finances and careers shifted when I started my spiritual journey. My identity used to be wrapped up in my job title and with the company that employed me. I’m thankful I’ve grown to learn that you (and I) are more than a job title 😊.
Your financial stability is more important than a title or the perfect career. So, just find something that makes you content and pays the bills. It sounds super cliche, but it’s true.
Why is financial stability #5? It’s a fundamental need that keeps us housed, clothed, and fed. It supports our other life aspirations. It gives us peace of mind and helps us plan for the future.
6. Genuine Relationships
Don’t underestimate the value of having real, authentic relationships. These people will serve as your support system (and you as theirs) during difficult times.
It feels great to have a group of people in your circle that you know have your best interests at heart and just want to see you succeed.
But as an introvert, I find it hard to build and maintain new friendships. Do any other introverts feel this way?
I think it’s because I just prefer to do things alone most of the time, and I dislike the stimulation that comes from being in crowds. Plus, I’m a homebody, so going out all the time is not at the top of my list.
Despite this, I do have great relationships with the people who are already in my life. These are the people who give me honest feedback, listen to me with an open mind, and who I trust.
Why are genuine relationships #6? Authentic relationships form when you know yourself. You’ve done that when you manifested more knowledge, self-love, and confidence. With those skills, you’re likely able to distinguish between people who mean you well and those who don’t.
7. Contentment
How many times have you thought to yourself, I’ll be happy when or as soon as…
You don’t have to be happy all the time. It’s okay to be content – to just be satisfied with what you have. And this doesn’t mean that you have to settle. You can still want more, desire more, and go after what you want in this life.
Contentment is more about cultivating a sense of gratitude. You aren’t always in a state of achieving. You allow yourself to rest and to have moments where you’re truly thankful for your life now – in the present.
I don’t wake up every day ready to turn cartwheels. But I do wake up with a sense of contentment knowing that everything will be okay. I know that I am right where I am supposed to be on my life journey.
And it’s always the little things for me. Whether that’s reading a chapter of a book, drinking my morning cup of coffee, or just sitting down to work on my blog.
Why is contentment #7? You’ve done the work to improve yourself and your circumstances, and now it’s time to allow yourself to be at peace with knowing you’re on the right path.
8. Time Freedom
Have you ever imagined spending your entire day exactly how you want to? Now imagine doing that every day for the rest of your life. Being able to wake up when I want to and structuring my day around activities and experiences that add value is one of my long-term life goals.
Time freedom gives you control over your day. You have more flexibility, balance, and time for your passions. Who doesn’t want to spend more time on their personal interests?
One of my favorite bloggers recently asked her followers how they’d spend the day if they had time freedom. Of course, I already had my day mapped out in my head 🙂I’d spend my day reading, sitting outside, and writing.
Or maybe even take random trips to get a coffee during the middle of the day. I would take breaks as needed, but I’d also prioritize completing daily tasks for my business.
Why is time freedom #8? After aligning yourself with new opportunities, financial stability, and plenty of knowledge, it’s time to magnify all of the good you’ve created. And being able to spend your time how you want to – and when you want to – allows you to dedicate more time to manifesting the life you desire.
9. Dream Life
You most definitely should be manifesting YOUR dream life.
Your dream life encompasses everything you desire. Most likely you already have some idea of what this looks like for you. But if you don’t, I encourage you to think about what it is you want and to be 100% truthful with yourself. Here are some journal prompts I put together to help you manifest your dream life.
Your dream life isn’t about society’s dreams or even your parent’s dreams. It’s about you. No one can decide what you want for yourself but you.
And once you know without a doubt what you want – go after it. I’m not going to sugarcoat the process either. It’ll be hard. It‘ll be scary. You will face challenges and setbacks. Do it anyway.
I did it – and I’m still doing it. Every day I make a choice and take action to bring me closer to my dream life. I’m even writing down how I will spend each hour of my day when that day arrives – hour by hour. Because I am ready. I am expecting. And I know that I’m more than halfway to being exactly where I know I’m meant to be,
Why is dream life #9? Everything else on this list has been leading up to this. Each thing manifested before was a part of creating and laying the groundwork for the ultimate goal – living a life you truly desire completely on your terms.
Practical Tips for Your Manifestation Practice
Clear Intentions are a Must
Knowing exactly what you want is what guides you in your actions.
I find that writing my manifestations down on paper provides me with the clarity I need. But if you prefer to visualize the result of your manifestation, that works just as well.
Be Repetitive in Your Thoughts and Actions
Manifesting isn’t a one-and-done thing. You don’t think about it and then it just happens. You have to take action.
One way to do this is by having a manifestation routine that helps you stay persistent as you work towards achieving your goals.
Your Improved Life Awaits You
Imagine waking each day knowing you are living aligned and authentically as yourself. What will you manifest?
