Spring Self Care Challenge: 21 Days of Renewal and Growth
Ah. Spring time. I’ve always loved the spring. I’m not sure if it’s because of more sunshine and the longer days.
Or maybe it’s because every time it rolls around, my memories of going to the park to fly kites with my parents are at the forefront of my mind.
What feelings does this season bring up for you? Are you hopeful? Or do you feel stuck and exhausted once spring comes around?
No matter what feelings the spring brings up for you, you can still engage in something positive and exciting with this spring self-care challenge I put together.

Why Should You Do a Self-Care Challenge in the Spring
We know that spring not only comes after winter but it also brings a different energy with it. I’m talking about warmth, hope, and fresh starts.
Making it the perfect time to do a self-reset and prioritize your well-being.
But before we go straight to the challenge, let’s make sure you’re set up for success.
3 Steps to Start Your Challenge the Right Way
Step 1: Keep an Open Mind
We all know that self-care is very personal. My self-care practices won’t look like yours. And yours won’t look like mine.
Still, I want you to keep an open mind. Try new things and step out of your comfort zone. After all, this challenge is about growth.
Step 2: Be Intentional
I want you to be intentional with this challenge.
Don’t just go through the motions. Do this with purpose. Think about what you want out of this challenge.
Step 3: Make It Your Own
Yes, I did say to keep an open mind. But that doesn’t mean you have to blindly follow all the self care activities listed. You can and should make this challenge your own.
If you come across a self care activity that does not interest you whatsoever or you know with 100% certainty that it will not be enjoyable, then just switch the activity to something else. You could even add your own self care activities on top of the ones already listed to make the challenge more unique.

21 Day Spring Self Care Challenge
Week 1: Focus on a Fresh Start
Day 1: Set Meaningful Intentions – Decide exactly what you want from this challenge and how you plan to succeed. Write it down or say it out loud to help you cement the intention within your being.
Day 2: Declutter Personal Space – Choose a space where you spend the majority of your time and clean it up. Get rid of things that you don’t need and are just taking up space.
As I look around my home office and see the disorganization – I know that this is why decluttering is listed as #2.
Day 3: Practice Gratitude – Think of one thing you’re grateful to have in your life. It could be something as simple as being able to enjoy your favorite food.
Day 4: Switch Up Your Skincare – Your skincare needs change with the seasons. So swap out those products for something more spring-friendly.
For example, I know that I need a darker foundation in the spring than I did in the winter.
Day 5: Revamp Your Morning Routine – Reevaluate your morning routine. Is it aligned with the spring season? Maybe you need to add something new or remove some outdated tasks.
Day 6: Create a New Playlist – Create a new playlist that matches your mood this time of the year. I always think about what I would want to hear if I was cruising in my car with my windows down.
But no matter my mood or season, Billie Eilish must always be on the playlist!!
Day 7: Change Your Scenery – Decorate your favorite space with some new curtains, paint, or flowers. Go for the pink, purples, and yellows.
Week 2: Make Your Confidence Bloom
Day 8: Recite 5 Self-Love Affirmations – Come up with your own affirmations and say them out loud.
If you struggle or feel uncomfortable reciting your affirmations, let me share a tip I once read in a book about the subconscious mind.
Instead of saying “I am beautiful,” just say “Beautiful.”
Day 9: Pick One Toxic Habit to Kick to Curb – Pick one toxic habit that could be ruining your self-esteem or draining your energy, and let it go.
Day 10: No Social Media for One Day – Take a break from social media and the news. Read a book or binge-watch your favorite show instead.
Day 11: Embrace the Word No – Today, say No to everything you are not willing to give your energy to – mentally and physically.
Day 12: Create From Inspiration – Paint, write a poem, or make a friendship bracelet. I like to color when I’m feeling inspired (and stressed 🙃).
Day 13: Write a Self Love Letter – Write a love letter to yourself. Identify the ways that you show yourself love. Also, include things you want to do to start loving yourself more.
Day 14: Be Bold in Your Style – Be bold in something today. Try a bold outfit, a new nail color, or a not-so-subtle lipstick.
Week 3: Raise Your Energy
Day 15: DIY Dance Party – Turn on your favorite music and have a dance party at home.
I got this idea from my partner who loves to blast music at the end of every workday. And once the music starts, I can’t help but to dance all of life’s problems away.
Day 16: Eliminate A Source of Negative Energy – Remove or distance yourself from something that creates negative energy. If talking to someone often puts you in a bad mood, don’t talk to them today. Or maybe block that app that makes you feel stressed whenever you open it.
Day 17: Journal About Your Biggest Goal – Journal about your plans to accomplish your biggest goal. This is the #1 thing in your life that you wish to achieve. How will it feel once you accomplish it?
Day 18: Tap Into Your Spiritual Side – Connect with your spiritual side. Start your own spiritual journey or try a new spiritual practice.
Day 19: Connect With Nature – Go for a walk. Sit outside. Watch the sunrise. Let the wind blow against your skin. Feel the grass under your feet.
Day 20: Have a Day of Laughter – Laugh out loud. It’s an instant mood booster. So watch a funny movie, recall a hilarious memory, or call a friend that always makes you laugh.
Day 21: Celebrate Yourself – Do something to celebrate yourself today. It could be buying a new purse or treating yourself to a travel experience.
Or it could just be telling yourself “Job well done.”
