The Ultimate Spring Reset: Refocus, Declutter, and Reclaim Your Energy
Are you ready for a spring reset? I’ve been craving one, too.
But this isn’t your typical oh let’s just clean out your closet type of reset. This is the type of reset you do when you want a clean slate. When you’re craving clarity. And when you just want to feel like your life is finally moving in the right direction.
Maybe you started the year off strong, but somewhere along the way, things fell through. Your routines disappeared. Your goals feel blurry. And you’re tired of it all.

I get it because I’ve lived it. I know how it feels to be misaligned. To wake up and autopilot through the day doing what’s expected of you because that’s what you’ve been taught.
But I also know how powerful it is to pause and reset. Your spring reset is a reset of everything. It’s you getting back into your goals, refocusing on what you want, and giving yourself permission to start fresh.
If you’re trying to find your way back to yourself, you’re in the right place.
Defining Spring’s Energy
If I had to describe spring’s energy in four simple words, they would be: intention, release, new beginnings, and growth.
Spring feels like a subtle shift. It’s not giving that “new year, new me” energy. It has more of a quiet, intentional feel that focuses on personal transformation. And spring is your permission to start fresh!
Because a lot of us, including me, your recovering people pleaser, feel like we have to wait for some external validation or an OK from someone before we change directions.
We don’t.
You’re allowed to release anything that’s weighing you down and stealing your peace. You can choose to be intentional about what you’re establishing for your life. You can create a new beginning for yourself. Spring reminds us that we can grow, and growth is natural.
What’s the Purpose of a Spring Reset?
The purpose of a spring reset is clarity and alignment. It’s a moment to ask yourself, where am I going? What am I doing? Does this still reflect who I’m becoming?
When I do a reset, it feels like everything just clicks back into place for me. I feel like I’m on even ground. My priorities are organized. I know what I want and how to exactly go about getting it.
Resets are about finding your way back to your standards. Back to your peace. It’s all about realignment by getting back to your goals, letting go of the unnecessary, and remembering who you said you wanted to be.
Let’s Begin with Intent
Something I learned the hard way is that if you don’t have clear intentions for your reset, you’ll just be going through the motions.
There you’ll be… Cleaning. Journaling. Reorganizing. But why will you be doing it? What’s your purpose?
So before you reset anything, ask yourself these questions:
- Why do I want this reset?
- What am I moving toward?
- What version of me am I becoming?
If you don’t have direction, it’s easy to fall back into what you’ve already been doing and feeling.
My reset has a very clear intention: I want to get back to my spiritual practice and my goals.
Setting that intention tells me everything I need to know. It tells me what to prioritize. It helps me say no to things that take away from my goal. It keeps me focused.
My Personal Reset Goal: Getting Back to My Spirituality
The number one thing I want to accomplish in my spring reset is getting back to my spirituality and spiritual practices.
I started my spiritual journey in 2019, and since then, it has been an integral part of my life. Keeping me grounded. Improving my mindset. Empowering me.
Honestly, it’s been about 9 months since I’ve sat down and really dedicated myself to it. Sure, I’ve read some new books. I watched a lot of YouTube videos. I’ve found a ton of inspiration.
But I haven‘t done the work. I haven’t been nurturing that connection the way I’d like to. And I miss it.
So my reset isn’t about just feeling productive or sticking to surface-level things. I want to be IN IT with my spirituality. I want to practice more.
Declutter Your Life
So let’s talk about decluttering. A reset is the perfect time to release old habits, thoughts, and things so that you can welcome in new ones.
Ask yourself: What am I still holding onto that doesn’t fit anymore? When I think about spring cleaning and decluttering my life, I think beyond my closet. I like to approach it from four angles:
- Mental – negative thoughts, people-pleasing mindset
- Physical – cluttered spaces, living/office spaces
- Emotional – guilt and resentment
- Digital – unopened emails, random photo files
One thing I did recently, even though it’s not technically spring yet (not as I’m writing this), was clean out my home office. And when I tell you it needed it… It needed it!
I had unopened Christmas gifts from last year on my desk. Stacks of mail and old papers that needed shredding. Books on my bottom desk had literally fallen over and stayed there.
Every time I walked into my office, it just felt chaotic. Which means no work was getting done in there. So I set aside one day and cleaned up. Now I have room to think again, and I’m currently typing this post from the coziness of my office.
Reclaim Your Energy
I’ve spent my share of time in spaces and places where I’d rather be anywhere else. But these were places I had to be. And being in those situations drained my energy. Made me feel tense. My thoughts were all over the place.
Until I remembered my power and decided to reclaim my energy. I am in control of where my energy goes. It is my job to protect it both emotionally and physically.
Reclaiming your energy is all about protecting your peace. It’s about diverting your energy away from situations, habits, and environments that don’t serve you towards what does.
I want you to do a quick energy assessment:
- Where has my energy been going?
- Is that aligned with what I care about?
- What needs to change?
And then start redirecting it. Start putting the effort into finding your peace. If you’d like a structured way to begin, my 21-day spring self care challenge helps you rebuild boundaries and connect with yourself.
Tap Into Self Growth
New beginnings and personal growth are inevitable when it comes to a spring reset. Your choice to reset your life is your new beginning, and you’re likely to grow on that journey.
So this is the perfect time to introduce new spring habits and rituals that align with the version of you that you’re becoming. Think about including habits that make you feel steady and peaceful.
This could be something like:
- Starting a new journaling habit
- Implementing a consistent morning routine
- Finally setting boundaries without feeling guilty
Your growth doesn’t need to be loud or on display for everyone to see. It’s the subtle changes that compound over time.
If you don’t know where to start your growth, my spring journal prompts can offer you the clarity you need.
Now, Let’s Reset for Spring
A spring reset is about intention and alignment. It’s about decluttering and releasing what no longer serves. It’s about reclaiming your energy and embracing growth.
But most importantly, it’s about YOU.
You deserve peace. You deserve to move towards your goals without old weight holding you back. You deserve a life that feels just right for you.
